Aloe
Is the first primal instinct of a woman to heal? In healing others, does she
heal something within herself? Where does the instinct to heal originate?
History has recorded that women who healed-who cared, who loved, who
nourished others, 'wise women'-were persecuted and often executed, regarded
as sinners.
In crafting this piece I celebrate the women of centuries past who gave of
themselves to nurture and nourish others; they are nameless and as one they
are beautiful for their sacrifice.
