Bags made for the 2009 Tasmanian Poetry fest.
Used the Name "Mrs Hindrum" for this run of work have made 34 of them -
so that the Poets and helpers have a bag to put their things in.

Aloe

Is the first primal instinct of a woman to heal? In healing others, does she
heal something within herself? Where does the instinct to heal originate?

History has recorded that women who healed-who cared, who loved, who
nourished others, 'wise women'-were persecuted and often executed, regarded
as sinners.

In crafting this piece I celebrate the women of centuries past who gave of
themselves to nurture and nourish others; they are nameless and as one they
are beautiful for their sacrifice.
